Government of Uttar Pradesh issues SOP guidelines for the festive season from October to November 2020 in the wake of COVID19


There will be a complete ban on any kind of events in the Containment Zone in the festive season due to the growing case of Corona in UP. The Yogi government has issued new guidelines in view of the festive season. Accordingly, no festival related activities will be allowed in the Containment Zone.

No organizers, employees or visitors will be allowed to attend the event from the content zone. Prior planning of conduct of activities (religious places, rally immersion, cultural programs, melas etc.) outside the Containment Zone will have to be prepared in collaboration with all concerned organizations / individuals / associations. The organizers of the event will have to make adequate arrangements of protective resources, such as face covers, hand sanitizers, soaps, etc., for their staff, as required.

In addition, voltiers will have to be deployed to ensure thermal scanning, physical distance and mask. Contact equip will also have to be arranged by the organizers. Apart from this, the instructions of what to do and what not to do (do’s and don’ts) will also have to be displayed.

The administration says that in the coming October to December, it is the time for Navratri, Durgapuja, Dussehra, Deepawali, Chhath Puja, Kartik Purnima and Christmas etc. In such a place, statue installation, religious worship, fair, exhibition, Jagaran, cultural programs are conducted. A large number of people are likely to gather in these.

In order to prevent the spread of corona, the SOP guidelines issued by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare will be implemented with immediate effect in the context of UP. The site plan will have to be prepared for the events concerning the venue and ensuring the extent of the venue marked earlier. According to which there is facility to follow the physical distance, thermal scanning and sanitization standard.

Ensure separate and possible routes of entry and exit of people at the venue. Only those staff and people who have no symptoms of corona will be allowed to come. If symptoms of corona are found in anyone, they will be refused admission with courtesy.
