A spokesman for the Railway Ministry said that efforts would be made to keep the fare of the new AC coach low. The prototype of the new AC coach will be ready in the next few weeks at Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala. The new AC coach will have 83 seats as compared to the 72 seats of the sleeper coach.
By 2024, light metro rail system can also be developed in Gorakhpur. The project will cost Rs 4672 crore and the project will have two elevated lines.
