In view of the Bihar elections, all parties are busy in announcing the candidates as soon as possible, so that some time can also be taken for campaigning. Let us know that the first phase of voting is less than 20 days, but this time the parties took a long time to get the list of candidates. Especially the NDA coalition, where the churning took place for a long time over the seat sharing between JDU-BJP and LJP. Meanwhile, it has come to light that when the issue was being discussed among the party leaders, on one occasion JDU leader Lallan Singh even said that if the BJP is not happy with the seat sharing, let alone contest the election.
The incident took place about two weeks ago during the discussion in Patna in the elections. Devendra Fadnavis, who was in charge of Bihar on behalf of BJP and General Secretary Bhupendra Yadav, was trying to resolve the issue of seat sharing with JDU leaders on a virtual conference. During this time, when Bhupendra Yadav spoke of pushing the BJP to the second position in terms of seats, JDU leader Lallan Singh was infuriated. He made it clear that if the BJP is dissatisfied with the seat sharing, then it should contest on its own.
It has been said that both Devendra Fadnavis and Bhupendra Yadav were angry at Lallan Singh’s talk. However, later the two parties agreed to contest 122 (JDU) -121 ((BJP) seats.
BJP desperate to get into big party role in Bihar: Significantly, Chirag Paswan’s LJP is going alone in Bihar elections. The party has made it clear that it is not against the BJP and will form an alliance with it after the elections. But it will field candidates against JDU in every seat. It is believed that Chirag Paswan is more part of the BJP’s plan than the rebel leader of the NDA. Due to this, the LJP also got the freedom to fight in more than 100 seats. It is being said that the BJP wants to play the role of senior party in Bihar and this was a sign of seeking more seats in the meeting held two weeks ago.
